The history
In 1727, Imam Muhammad bin Saud became ruler of Diriyah, a town in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula. Under his leadership, Diriyah grew into the centre of the first Saudi state, bringing stability, trade and learning to the region.

The historic At-Turaif district in Diriyah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today Diriyah is being developed as a cultural and lifestyle destination, with museums, restaurants and heritage experiences.
